200 4R
A four speed automatic transmission with an overdrive
ratio of 2.75 to 1 in first gear which gives better off the line power than the
TH350/400. This transmission can usually be found in light duty vehicles such as
a 305 El Camino. This is an excellent choice for light weight street rods. Features include positive performance shifting, corvette servo
piston, 30 % 4th gear overdrive. available with or with out lock-up.

TH 350
A three speed transmission with a ratio of 2.48 to 1 in
first gear. These are built for lightweight cars used in quarter mile racing. It
is a good all around transmission for street/strip use, such as street rods and
lightweight high-performance vehicles with moderate horsepower. This transmission is ideal for up to 450 ft/lbs
of torque.

TH 400
A three speed transmission with a ratio of 2.48 to 1 in
first gear. This one is used with heavy duty applications such as tow vehicles,
race cars with nitrous, and heavy cars. All of these take large amounts of
horsepower. Mainly this would be found in tow vehicles such as duelie crew cabs
and 4x4's. If you are looking for longetivity, in racing or towing, and willing
to sacrifice minimal horsepower this would be the ideal choice.

Perhaps one of Auto-Rite's greatest achievements has
been the high performance development of the General Motors Turbo hydro 700R4
(TH700) overdrive automatic transmission. these will handle up to 450 ft/lbs of torque. available
with or with out lock-up. While this transmission has excellent
gear ratios for high performance street use, many builders have retuned this

This is the updated TH400 with an overdrive
electronically controlled. A four speed transmission with a ratio of 2.48 to 1
in first gear with a 20-30% overdrive found in late model Suburbans, one ton
trucks and motor homes. This transmission can be made stronger with
modifications to the torque converter and by adding shift kits.
